About ESIO
ESIO is a budgeting app built specifically for micro-companies — sole traders, freelancers, family-run cafés, and 2–5 person teams. The kind of business where the founder is also the bookkeeper, and where last quarter’s reconciliation always happens too late.
Why ESIO exists
Most accounting software answers backward-looking questions: “what happened last month?” Most spreadsheets answer them with effort. Neither answers the question that actually keeps founders up at night: “what’s my bank balance going to look like in three months?”
ESIO closes that gap. Real-time cashflow projections, tax obligations tracked automatically, scenario modelling for the decisions that matter — all built around the constraint that you don’t have an accountant on staff and you don’t want to become one.
What we believe
- The future should be legible. If you can’t read what’s coming in your business, you’re guessing. We make the next 18 months as readable as last week’s bank statement.
- Boring is the goal. Surprises in small-business finance are bad surprises. Good admin is the absence of drama, not the presence of complex tools.
- Micro-companies deserve software that fits them. Enterprise BI tools and personal finance apps both miss this market. We don’t.
Who’s behind it
ESIO is built by a small team working alongside the businesses we build for. If you run a micro-company and want to influence what we ship next, write to support@esio.dk — we read every email.
Two people who get how small businesses really work
We're not trying to build the next big thing. We made ESIO because the tools out there are built for big companies, accountants charging by the hour, or hobby spreadsheets — not for the shop, the workshop, the café or the family business that just wants their numbers to make sense.

Elod Sandor
Co-founder · Accountant
Elod has spent years helping small businesses keep their books in order — the kind of places where the owner does the invoicing in the evening and worries about VAT on a Sunday. He knows what actually matters when money is tight and time is tighter.

Iustinian Olaru
Co-founder · Software engineer
Iustinian builds the software. He's worked on systems for everyone from one-person operations to large companies, and he's seen how often the small ones get left behind. ESIO is his answer to that — tools that respect your time and don't pretend you're a corporation.
Got a question? Write to us — we read every message ourselves.
